The American Physical Society has elected Marc Janoschek, physicist and head of the PSI Center for Neutron and Muon Sciences, to Fellowship in the Society.
The American Physical Society’s Fellowship Program recognizes members who have made exceptional contributions in physics research, important applications of physics, significant contributions to physics education, or leadership in or service to the Society.
First established in 1921, APS Fellowship is a distinct honor signifying recognition by one's professional peers. Each year, no more than one half of one percent of the Society’s membership (excluding student members) are elected to the status of Fellow of the American Physical Society.
The fellowship recognises his “groundbreaking contributions to revealing and understanding quantum states of strongly correlated materials through the innovative development and application of neutron-scattering techniques.”
We extend our warmest congratulations to Marc on this well-deserved recognition of his outstanding research!
