Bernina uses two standardized sample holders for in-atmosphere Experiments, and one for in-vacuum experiments.
In-atmosphere sample holders
Standard platforms at Bernina are designed to fit the geometry of two widely used manual Goniometer heads by Huber, the 1003 and 1006, using the D10 and and D6 sample pin, respectively.
Below construction drawings can be downloaded for replication and preparation of experiments.
In-vacuum sample holders
For usage in high vacuum environment, often in combination with sample cooling by a cryostat cold finger, Bernina uses a copper sample holder.
Below construction drawing can be downloaded for replication and preparation of experiments.
Mechanical interfaces
Mechanical interfaces for heavy load goniometer. The elements are typically mounted in succession of rx/rz module, tx/tz module, ty module on the general purpose station GPS, but may also be mounted together or separately separately on both X-ray diffractometer XRD and the GPS.
