Biography

Linnea Rensmo is a doctoral researcher in the Structure and Mechanics of Advanced Materials group. She received her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with Engineering Physics and her master’s degree in Physics from Chalmers University of Technology. During her master she worked on characterization of lignin-derived hard carbon to be used as anode material in more sustainable sodium-ion batteries, using techniques as small-and wide-angle scattering and Raman spectroscopy. Her master’s thesis focused on characterization of injection molded high density polyethylene using small- and wide-angle scattering and the aim was to follow the structural changes of the material during mechanical deformation. In 2022, she joined PSI to help develop small-angle X-ray scattering tensor tomography.

Scientific Research

Linnea is working on method development in small-angle X-ray scattering tensor tomography (SASTT). The aim is to improve the 3D reconstruction and verify the results using a plastic plasmonic composite.
