Success Stories Metafuels In collaboration with the climate start-up Metafuels, PSI is developing the Aerobrew technology to produce sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) from renewable energy sources. AlphaSYNT PSI and the start-up AlphaSYNT partner to convert surplus renewable electricity into methane gas for storage, ensuring no energy goes to waste and thus allowing for value creation. energie360° PSI and the Zurich-based energy supplier Energie360° collaborate to increase the methane yield from existing biogas processes while simultaneously using the biogenic CO₂. TreaTech PSI and TreaTech officially joined forces with the aim of developing a pilot plant capable of processing various types of wet waste and turning them into methane - the main component of natural gas used in the natural gas grid.
