Model: Specac Manual Hydraulic Press 15 tons
The bench-top hydraulic press with a rigid steel construction, and pro-tective safety shield as standard is particularly well-suited for FTIR KBr pellet press, XRF pellet press, and thin film press applications when used in conjunction with Specac Evacuable Pellet Die assemblies. It is fur-nished with both 5 and 13 mm Evacuable Pellet Dies.

Measure precisely, quickly and simply the viscosity and flow behavior of liquid and semi-solid test materials. It is designed with a rotational speed preset and measures the flow resistance of a sample. The torque main-taining the set speed is proportional to the viscosity, so all final infor-mation on the viscosity, shear stress and the shear rate is calculated from the torque required, the set speed and the geometry factors of the applied sensor.

Gas pycnometry is a reliable technique for obtaining true, absolute, skeletal, and apparent volume and density. Inert gases, such as helium, are used as the displacement medium to measure density. Helium molecules rapidly fill pores as small as one angstrom in diameter; only the solid phase of the sam-ple displaces the gas. Dividing this volume into the sample weight gives the gas displacement density.

The VacPrep™ 061 offers two methods for removing contaminants. In addi-tion to flowing gas, it provides vacuum to prepare samples by heating and evacuation. The VacPrep features six degassing stations, and a choice of vac-uum or gas flow preparation on each of the six stations. Needle valves are also provided allowing to introduce the flowing gas or vacuum slowly to pre-vent fluidization of samples.
