We are a computational group at the Paul Scherrer Institute and the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. We study the relationship between sequence, structure, dynamics, and function in G protein-coupled receptors, with a particular focus on opsins, the light-activated members of the family. We combine sequence and structural analysis, molecular modelling, and molecular dynamics simulations, and we work in close collaboration with experimental laboratories at PSI and elsewhere.
