During my BSc in Physics at ETH Zurich I got interested in electronics design and feedback control, which I then pursued further during my MSc in Robotics, Systems & Control, also at ETHZ. During my PhD in Jonathan Home's ion trapping group I then designed and built a state-of-the-art cryogenic ion trap setup from scratch, paying particularly close attention to the myriad of feedback loops required to stabilize all kinds of experimental parameters. After my PhD I joined the PSI Quantum Computing Hub to help design, build and operate their setups.
