Scientist in Nuclear Reactor Core Simulations

Your tasks

  • Development and qualification of core simulation methodologies based on advanced nodal solvers for current and future reactor systems
  • Development and validation of 3-D neutron transport methods with coupling to higher-resolution thermal-hydraulic and/or thermo-mechanical solvers
  • Establishment of methodologies using statistical methods and/or artificial intelligence techniques for uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analyses in multi-physics reactor core simulations
  • Publication of scientific articles and supervision of students

Your profile

  • PhD degree in reactor physics, nuclear engineering or physics
  • Strong background in neutronic and multi-physics simulation methods
  • Solid knowledge of multi-phase flow and heat transfer
  • High proficiency in modern programming and scripting
  • Familiarity with mathematical statistical methods and artificial intelligence techniques
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
