Sophie Dietz defends her PhD
Sophie Dietz has successfully defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Mainz. She has developed the powering system for Mu3e, in particular a very high current DC/DC converter and integrated it into the experiment.
Installation of the scintillating tile detector
Mu3e has installed the scintllating tile detector for the 2026 beamtime, for the first time mounting a complete detector station around the beam line. The tiles can measure the arrival time of electrons and positrons with less than 100 ps resolution.
