Arnaud Nicolas Mignan

Dr. Arnaud Mignan is a visiting researcher at the Technology Assessment (TA) group of the Laboratory for Energy Systems Analysis (LEA) at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI). His primary research interests include extreme risk / multi-risk assessment and governance, as well as geo-energy system and induced seismicity risk mitigation modelling. He works on the PSI ENSAD database to analyse cascading risks at critical infrastructures, on the economic part of his Enhanced Geothermal System meta-model recently published in Applied Energy, and finally on energy network failure modelling.

Education and previous activities
Arnaud obtained a PhD in Geophysics from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris in 2006. He worked as Senior Catastrophe Risk Researcher at Risk Management Solution, London, between 2006 and 2010, and as Senior Researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, between 2010 and 2019.
