Mass Transport in Polymer Electrolyte Electrolysis

Your tasks

  • Investigate the mass transport losses in polymer electrolyte electrolysis using electrochemical and X-Ray imaging methods
  • Develop X-Ray imaging for operando electrolysis characterization
  • Advance the scientific understanding of two phase transport in polymer electrolyte electrolysis
  • Develop material concepts for mass transport loss reduction
  • Publish results in scientific literature

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated student with interest in experimental work. You must have a Master degree or diploma in chemical or mechanical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or in a related field. Experience in electrochemistry is an asset. A good command of English and German is required. The experimental work will be at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, the PhD degree will be awarded by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich).
