Mu3e has installed the scintllating tile detector for the 2026 beamtime, for the first time mounting a complete detector station around the beam line. The tiles can measure the arrival time of electrons and positrons with less than 100 ps resolution. The detector station is built from about 3500 tiles of plastic scintillator individually wrapped and coupled to a silicon photomultiplier. For the installation, seven modules are placed around the beam pipe and connected to power, cooling and readout electronics. Mu3e is now ready for the first installation of the large outer pixel modules.
