Mu3e has installed the scintllating fibre detector for the 2026 beamtime, for the first time mounting this complete detector around the beam line. The scintillating fibres give sub-nanosecond time resolution with a minimum material budget. The very tight space and the closeness to the extremely fragile vertex detector require great care during the installtaion.
