Ludmila Leroy is a postdoc under the supervision of Dr. Urs Staub in the Microscopy and Magnetism (MM) group, which is part of the Condensed Matter Laboratory within the Photon Science division. Ludmila obtained her Master and Ph. D. degree in Physics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil. Her Master's research was focused on protein crystallography, while her Ph.D. research aimed on understanding fundamental properties of the valence tautomerism in cobalt o-dioxolene complexes. In October, 2019, Ludmila joined Dr. Majed Chergui's  group at EPFL and was hosted by the ALVRA group, SwissFEL - PSI, as a visiting Ph.D. student. In September 2021, she started as a postdoc in the MM group, with research focused on the ultrafast dynamics of properties of magnetic materials.
