Jisoo Kim is a PhD student at the X-ray Imaging/Tomography group at ETH Zurich and the Paul Scherrer Institut. He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Nuclear and Quantum Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Before starting his PhD, he has worked on detector development for Positron Emission Tomography systems.
The current PhD project is to develop and implement methods for X-ray scattering tensor tomography. The objective of the project is to analyze anisotropic microstructures within a large field-of-view (FOV) with unprecedented data acquisition speed. His PhD project is carried out in the collaboration with the MUltiscale, Multilmodal, and Multidiensional imaging for EngineeRING (MUMMERING) network under Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 765604.
