Hi, my name is Elisa Gilardi, I come from Italy and I joined the Materials Group in May 2016.
I studied Chemistry at the Universitá degli Studi di Pavia, and did my Master thesis at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. I graduated in 2010 and then I spent 6 months at the University of Mainz to improve my German.
I started my PhD at the Physical Chemistry Department at the Max Planck Institute, Stuttgart, in June 2011, where I worked on thin films and interface properties of ionic conductors. Now in the Materials group I work on the synthesis and characterization of new protonic conductors. My scientific interests are defect chemistry, study of ceramic materials and interface properties.
