We were able to visit the automation engineers at PSI with the children from the Nanolino daycare center's holiday care program and gained exciting insights into the world of technology and automated processes.
Particularly impressive was a programmed robot arm that can build a Lego house on its own. The children watched with fascination as each individual step was carried out with precision. Technology was not only explained here, but also brought to life.
Another highlight was making their own magnets. The children were able to insert raw parts into an automated machine and watch live as a finished product was created step by step. This made industrial processes tangible and understandable.
It was wonderful to see how curious and interested the children were as they asked technical questions to better understand the technology and automated processes. The amazement in their eyes showed how valuable such insights into different professional fields are.
