School Lab “iLab”

With the school lab “iLab”, we want to inspire 14- to 15-year-old pupils to pursue the natural or engineering sciences; the programme can be adapted for the 12- to 20-year-olds.

In order to attract youth to natural or engineering sciences, new routes are explores at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). At the School Lab “iLab” teenagers can run in pairs experiments, for example on acoustic waves. They experience hands-on the secrets of wave phenomenons, which are at the center of research at PSI. Moreover, at the visitors' center PSI forum and on a tour through the research facilities, they are given an insight into the world of science.
