PhD Student
New Electrode Materials for BatteriesYour tasks
- Synthesis of new electrode materials (solid state, soft chemistry)
- Material characterization with various ex situ and in situ analytical techniques (electrochemical cycling, DEMS, XRD, SEM)
- In situ structural characterization using synchrotron X-rays and neutron diffraction
- Publishing of results in scientific literature
Your profile
We are looking for a highly motivated student with interest in experimental work. You must have a Master degree or a diploma in chemistry, materials science, or in a related field. An experience in electrochemistry would be an asset. A good command of English and German is required. The experimental work will be at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, the PhD degree will be from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ).
