Your tasks

  • Basic and applied research in all fields related to materials and electrodes for future high energy and high power batteries (lithium-ion, lithium/sulfur, lithium/air)
  • Synthesis of battery materials
  • Characterization of battery materials, electrodes, and complete batteries with advanced experimental methods
  • Participation in ongoing and new international research projects, including reporting
  • Publishing of research results in the scientific literature, and presentation at international congresses
  • Supervision of Master and PhD students

Your profile

You have a PhD degree in chemistry, preferably with experience in inorganic solid state chemistry, physical chemistry, or materials science. Research experience in electrochemistry, battery materials, and/or electrocatalysis would be an asset. You have active interest in experimental investigations and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team. You are a flexible team member who is able to work on different mid-term projects. Good communication skills in both German and English are required.
