The Laboratory for Bioenergy and Catalysis performs research in the field of bioenergy, in particular the development of new processes for converting biomass into biofuels. A central question to be answered is: What will future green transportation fuels look like?

design of next-generation renewable transportation fuelsYour tasks
- Develop group contribution methods for fuel properties
- Set up a fuel properties database and perform systematic searches for different fuels
- Compare and assess different fuels with respect to CO2 mitigation and engine performance
Your profile
You have recently completed your PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, combustion science and technology, physics, or a related field with excellent success. You have expertise in database programming, search algorithms, multiobjective optimization, and a notion of fuel chemistry.
