Scientific Project Leader in Battery Materials

Electrochemistry and Batteries

Your tasks

• Planning and execution of ongoing and new international research projects, including reporting
• Basic and applied research in all fields related to materials for future high energy and high power batteries
• Synthesis and characterization of battery materials, electrodes, and complete batteries with advanced experimental methods
• Publishing of research results in scientific literature and presentation at international congresses
• Supervision of Master and PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, and development of a research group

Your profile

You are a flexible team member able to work on different mid-term projects. You hold a PhD in chemistry, physics, or materials science. You have a strong and innovative research record in the fields of energy-related materials and electrochemistry. Research experience in battery materials would be an asset. Regular publications in high ranking international journals and recruitment of funding is mandatory. You have active interest in experimental investigations and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team spirit. Furthermore, we expect you to actively seek collaborations with both academic and industrial partners. Good communication skills in both German and English are required.
