15th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation postponed to 2021
Because of the coronavirus situation, the 15th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation, Relaxation and Resonance (µSR2020) has been postponed to 2021. More details will be announced in due time.
15th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation
The 15th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation, Relaxation and Resonance (µSR2020) will be held in Parma, Italy, from 6-10th July, 2020.
The conference is organized by the University of Parma in conjunction with eth ISIS Muon and Neutron Source.
Rhea Stewart from the University of St Andrews wins an ISMS Young Scientist Award
Rhea Stewart from the University of St Andrews, UK, has been honoured with an ISMS Young Scientist Award
at the 14th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation Relaxation and Resonance (μSR2017) in Sapporo, Japan,
for her exceptional oral presentation entitled “Anomalous Meissner Screening Probed using Low Energy Muon Spin Spectroscopy”. The Low Energy µSR
experiments have been performed at the LEM facility of the Swiss Muon Source SµS.
Thomas Prokscha new President of ISMS
Thomas Prokscha from the Laboratory for Muon Spin Spectroscopy LMU and Head of the LEM Group has been announced as the new President of the International Society for μSR Spectroscopy (ISMS)
at the 14th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation Relaxation and Resonance (μSR2017) in Sapporo, Japan.
Georgian Order of Honor for Zurab Guguchia
Thomas Prokscha from Laboratory for the Muon Spin Spectroscopy LMU and Head of the LEM Group was invited to serve an additional year as a member of the INTC Committee (ISOLDE and Neutron Time-of-Flight Experiments Committee) at CERN.
The INTC evaluates proposals for experiments on the ISOLDE facility. In addition it reviews the experiments proposed for the neutron time-of-flight facility.
PSI summer school 2015
The PSI summer school 2015 on Condensed Matter Research will be organized at the Lyceum Alpinum in Zuoz, Switzerland from August 15-21, 2015. International experts and PSI staff members will introduce and deepen your knowledge not only on methods but also on those phenomena, which are presently at the forefront of modern solid state physics and chemistry. The 13th International Conference on Muon Spin Rotation Relaxation and Resonance (μSR2014), organized by our Laboratory for Muon Spin Spectroscopy in collaboration with the University of Zürich and the University of Fribourg, closed on June 6th in Grindelwald.

The PSI summer school 2014 on Condensed Matter Research will be organized at the Institut Montana in Zug, Switzerland from August 9-15, 2014. The topic of the school will be 'Exploring time, energy and length scales in condensed matter' and the school will be followed by hands-on practical training at the PSI large user facilities SINQ, SμS and SLS.
